Other applications
Mounting brackets offered by AIB enable the professional assembly of windows and doors in the insulation layer. Its placement in this location in the overall wall structure provides the best thermal performance of the connection and is particularly recommended for energy-efficient and passive buildings. A very wide range of brackets allows to use the system in virtually every building and window system, made both of PVC, wood or aluminium. Brackets enable to offset the window relative to the supporting wall by a few inches – the maximum distance from the support point to the wall is 17.5 cm.

The system was designed for functionality and ease of use by joinery installers. All the elements are designed so that their assembly uses a minimum amount of additional materials. A 7.5 mm mounting screw can be used here both as a connector of the window frame to the brackets or the side or top brackets, and in connection with a suitable self-tapping screw, with which the bracket is attached to load-bearing walls. The recommended self- -tapping screw – SX 10x80 from Fischer – allows installation in a variety of construction materials, from aerated concrete to clay tile. The same type of screw is also used to connect system components, such as load-bearing brackets and the support rail used to mount the bottom supports in clay perforated bricks.
 
The system offered by AIB has been tested by the IFT Institute in Rosenheim. Additional elements of the system guarantee a very stable installation of:
  • Patio doors on threshold widening systems,
  • Windows with top mounted roller shutters,
  • External sills without the need for insulation
     





Basic version brackets – flat
The basic range of flat brackets for mounting in a window frame consists of the following products: EL version with - out adjustment, WM and WU brackets with stepless adjust - ment from the outside of the window, SFK variant that ena - bles assembly in the case there is no access to the window from the inside (e.g. in a three-layer wall already with wall insulation and the outer wall), as well as WU-ST brackets, which make it possible to pull out the joinery up to 175 mm.


Angle brackets (assembly completely in wall insulation]
Brackets designed specifically for passive houses. They are installed completely in the layer of insulation. This increas - es considerably the thermal qualities of the connection, eliminating the possibly adverse freezing to the inside of the building.


Special bracket for mounting with multifunction tape Integra Chrome
Special EL version of the bracket. Completely flat, intended for use with Integra Chrome tape. Guarantees a true and lasting mechanical assembly of the window faced with the wall or gently retracted into the layer of insulation.
