AIB specialises in the manufacture of seals made of thermoplastic elastomers. Our wide production programme includes seals for wooden, plastic and aluminium doors and windows. Our customers' high requirements motivate us to develop a variety of plastic blends and design seals, combining functionality, durability and ease of installation.
One of the main areas of production in which AIB is specialised is the extrusion of thermoplastic elastomer seals, gaskets and weatherstrips. Our customers’ high requirements are a motivation for us to develop a variety of plastic blends and design seals, which combine functionality, durability and ease of installation. Modern technology enables us to produce high performance seals and our laboratory ensures consistent product quality.
Material and design
AIB’s continuous production includes over two hundred different types of seals made from specially developed materials: TPA and TPS. These modern thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), due to their excellent properties are increasingly displacing vulcanized rubber (EPDM).

Butyl
Currently, the standard product range includes butyl in the form of butyl strips, cords and laminates, which are offered in several material variants. AIB also specializes in implementing designs according to customer specifications.
Through dynamic and sustainable development, within a few years, AIB became one of the leading manufacturers in Europe and the continually increased product range can meet the increasing demands of customers. The advantages of butyl products include high vapour-tightness, very good adhesion to various surfaces, maintaining flexibility for many years, noise attenuation, resistance to fungi and moulds, and material characteristics such as non-toxicity and stable ductility.
Our company also provides various types of butyl mixes in drums. This material can be used by our customers owning butyl extrusion equipment. Production capacity:
- Maximum width of the strips and laminates 600 mm
- Maximum diameter of cords 40 mm.
Main areas of application of butyl
Roofing
Due to their excellent properties AIB butyl strips are mostly used in roof construction as part of the chimney and ridge sealing tape, as well as tape bonding roofing membranes. Additional roofing uses include nail sealing tape and mounting elements for flanges and skylights. Butyl, as material maintaining its plasticity, is the best choice for the sensitive parts of the building structure – the roof.
ConstructionAluminium-butyl tapes are also made on the basis of butyl, as well as products covered with fleece or polythene film, which are used not only in roofs, but also in façades, ventilation systems, expansion joints, sound insulation, crack repair and installation of windows. An equally important area of application of butyl tapes is the bathroom, where tapes covered with fleece, as well as finishing tapes are used very often. Butyl tapes are highly vapour- and waterproof, and provide excellent adhesion even in a wet environment, making them ideal for application at the wall-floor connection, and also as pipe insulation sleeves.
Automotive industry
Butyl is also material used frequently in the automotive industry as an element sealing and sound-proofing the body. Due to the compatibility with other materials, as well as anti- -corrosive properties, it is an optimal solution for the automotive industry. Butyl in automotive application is normally used in form of strips, as well as butyl-aluminium laminates based on pure aluminium. Of course, due to the dynamic changes in the technology of the production of cars, AIB offers individually tailored material solutions.

Products tailored to customer needs
In the case of our products the customer can choose not only the raw material from which the product is made, but also the carrier that meets the quality expectations. Available carriers: paper, smooth film and embossed film (with textured surface). The selection of individual materials is done together with the customer, after analysing the needs and requirements.
Integra System
Integra System is a modern and versatile solution for the installation of windows and doors in a way that ensures their tightness for many years. The system consists of a series of tapes made from high-quality materials, which are used interchangeably depending on the design of the door or window opening.
Integra System minimizes thermal bridges and protects the window-wall connection against uncontrolled air flow while protecting it against moisture. This solution significantly extends the life of such a connection and ensures the proper functioning of window frames for many years.
Integra System tapes are laminates consisting of a polypropylene or polyester non-woven combined with a special membrane, which ensures the appropriate value of the Sd coefficient, determining its vapour permeability. It should be emphasized that the proper selection of materials with the recommended values allows for the construction of the connection in accordance with the fundamental principle: "Tighter on the inside than on the outside."
All Integra System products are equipped with an adhesive strip with a special Finger Lift option, which facilitates their application. Such a solution has been introduced as a response to customers' needs. Integra System tapes can be equipped with a butyl ribbon, with which they are fastened to the wall, which in turn allows to eliminate or reduce the need for extra adhesive.
Profiles
Profiles made by AIB are most commonly used as refining components in the manufacture of both internal and external doors. Profiles are also used as a sealing element in the manufacture of garage doors. The materials used in production are fully resistant to ageing and preservatives commonly used by the users of doors and windows.
Thanks to our modern technology for coating profiles with decorative films, quick and perfect choice of colour and texture of the profile surface according to individual customer needs is possible. In addition to the standard products, AIB offers the ability to design, implement and manufacture any profile shape, which is the result of the work of our own implementation department or technical specifications supplied by the customer.

Our copyrighted, original door glazing system, based on the idea of quickly connecting profiles using a latch, has been well received by the market, and thus worthy of recommendation. The system is very popular among customers due to its reliability, practicality and of course the speed of installation. Another advantage is the ease of disassembly in case of a need to replace the glass.

AIB makes a range of profiles used in the production of glazing in external doors and garage doors. They are made of foamed PVC, and the surfaces are covered with weather-resistant films in the colour matched to customer requirements.
